Travertine Maintenance Services in Seattle | MARBLELIFE
Keep travertine clean, protected, and looking its best across Seattle
Travertine is a classic stone, but it needs ongoing care to stay bright, even in color, and beautiful. Because it is naturally porous, it can take on moisture, oils, and grime that gradually dull the surface and make routine cleaning feel like a losing battle. In Seattle, entryway grit, seasonal slush, hard water minerals, and frequent use in kitchens and bathrooms can speed up wear if the stone is not maintained with the right products and process. MARBLELIFE® Seattle offers travertine maintenance programs that preserve the look of your stone through scheduled professional cleaning, protective sealing, light refinishing, and small repairs when needed, all performed with stone appropriate, non acidic methods.
Each service visit begins with an on site review of traffic patterns, current finish condition, and any problem areas such as dull lanes, minor staining, or open pits. From there, we perform the maintenance steps your surfaces need, which may include deep cleaning, targeted spot work, gentle mechanical scrubbing, reapplying sealer where appropriate, and touching up small voids to keep the surface more uniform. We also provide straightforward guidance on travertine friendly cleaners and daily care habits so your floors, showers, and counters stay easier to maintain between visits. With a customized plan from MARBLELIFE of Seattle, travertine can remain a consistent, polished feature of your home or facility year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Travertine maintenance is a planned service that includes cleaning, protecting, and caring for your stone so it continues to look attractive and perform well. Because travertine is naturally porous and can open new voids over time, regular maintenance helps prevent soil buildup, staining, and dullness while extending the life of your surfaces.
A typical maintenance visit may include inspection, professional cleaning, gentle machine agitation or hand scrubbing, spot treatments for stains or discoloration, polishing where appropriate, and application of a penetrating sealer, along with care recommendations tailored to your travertine.
Most homes benefit from professional maintenance once every twelve to twenty four months, depending on foot traffic, the presence of pets or children, and how consistently stone safe cleaners are used. Busy commercial spaces or heavily used kitchen and entry areas may need more frequent service to keep surfaces looking their best.
MARBLELIFE maintains travertine floors, showers, countertops, backsplashes, lobbies, and other interior and exterior surfaces found in both residential and commercial properties, including hotels, offices, restaurants, and medical facilities.
Yes. When appropriate, MARBLELIFE applies professional grade penetrating sealers during maintenance to help reduce staining from spills and daily use. Sealers work together with proper cleaning habits to support better resistance to common household and commercial contaminants.
Maintenance services can often lessen the appearance of light scratches, etching, and general dullness through careful cleaning, polishing, and spot treatments. Deep damage or heavy wear may require a separate restoration service, and your technician will explain the best option after inspecting the stone.
Timing depends on the size and condition of the area, but many residential projects are completed within a few hours, while larger homes or commercial properties can take most of the day. Your MARBLELIFE team will provide a time estimate once they understand the scope of work.
MARBLELIFE uses modern equipment, professional containment practices, and wet processes to minimize dust and keep your home or business as clean as possible while work is performed. Technicians protect adjacent surfaces and clean up thoroughly before the project is considered complete.
Between visits, use MARBLELIFE recommended stone safe cleaners that are free from acids, harsh solvents, and waxes. Avoid generic household products that can etch, dull, or leave residue on natural stone, and follow the routine care guidance provided by your technician after your service.
You can request an estimate by calling the MARBLELIFE® Seattle office, submitting a request through the local website, or using the request estimate button on the national MARBLELIFE site. A team member will review your needs, answer questions, and schedule a convenient time to evaluate your travertine surfaces in person.

Our condo has bathrooms and shower rooms with marble stone walls and floors. Over the past 20 years, I had never been fully satisfied with the marble cleaning services we received. Fortunately, we met Vince in May. He confidently explained that he and his team could restore our marble surfaces to look almost like new. He showed us their booklet containing many impressive before-and-after photos. They delivered exactly what they promised — top-quality workmanship, thorough completion, and excellent customer satisfaction. They did an outstanding job repairing damaged marble, polishing, and resealing the surfaces. I would gladly give Vince and his team the highest rating and strongly recommend their service.Posted on Google![]()

Vince is an artist! I expect we will be using him a lot in the future. There was a chip in a stone counter top that virtually disappeared. We have been showing everyone to see if they can find where it was. So COOL!Posted on Google![]()

Marblelife Of Seattle was hired to clean tile surfaces, polish granite countertops, and seal these areas within several rooms of our home. The project involved a number of rooms and materials, and was predicted to take approximately six hours. The crew arrived prior to the scheduled start time, prepared to begin the work immediately. They protected all areas prior to performing any work, and took care to confine their activities and equipment to only those areas necessary to complete the project. The technicians worked efficiently and completed the entire process in less than five hours, which allowed normal household activities to resume sooner than anticipated. An unexpected benefit of hiring this company was that they willingly corrected issues encountered that were outside the agreed-upon scope of work. Ultimately, the areas they treated were restored to equal to or better than that of the original construction. At the close of the project, they delivered specialized cleaning materials at no charge, and provided information regarding their proper use. Well after the job was completed, the company owner called to discuss the results, and to confirm that all work had been completed satisfactorily before accepting payment. I would recommend Marblelife Of Seattle to address any such issues, and will once again engage this company when these services are needed in the future.Posted on Google![]()

Vince and Joe were able to save my marble tile floor in the bathroom. House cleaners had used wood floor cleaner on it which stained and streaked the tile, plus removed the anti-slip coating. Vince and Joe are experts and were able to remove the stains/streaks plus restore the anti-slip. Two other companies said they couldn’t do it and both recommended I call Marblelife, and they were right! My bathroom floor is like new again.
